Saw The Forgotten last night. Very spooky, with crazy camera angles that make you feel like you’re being watched. Yet, surprisingly enough, it has a very life-affirming message.
We also started Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan and some other people. One of those other people is Arnold Schwartzenheimer. It’s a pretty clever movie so far.
Other movie news, check out this Half-Life 2 movie parody. Not funny, but very well done.

So…I’m not much a fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s musicals. I know they’re popular and I know this sounds silly from someone who loves the show Guys and Dolls. But MAN! I just saw the DVD version of the theatrical Phantom of the Opera. Does anyone else have a problem with the boom-chick boom-chick cymbal hits of the Phantom’s theme? I mean, they’re deep in the heart of French catacombs, riding on an underground river…and then there’s an 80s guitar solo? Lo siento!
On a positive note: the movie was bright and colorful.
