The Mouse that Roared

I had heard about the play and I am a fan of the Marx Brothers’ movie Duck Soup, but I had not known about the movie.

Very funny stuff. A small, small, small country has lost most of its money. They used to export Fenwick wine, but ever since a C alifornia grower started producing Enwick wine, they are in financial crisis.

The Grand Duchy of Fenwick decides to go to war with the United States.

They will lose (their army consists of 20 villagers dressed in chainmail with longbows) and the US will foot the bill for rebuilding their country.
Peter Sellers plays many different roles, including the Grand Duchess of Fenwick.

On the topic of government overthrows, be looking for The Veritas Device, a film starring Teddi Rose and The Futile Ohm.

If only Ohmer could give me some cast photos to post…
Not Dr. Strangelove

Addendum: I think I may have beaten Schultz at Fantasy Football.

  1. I sent the link to my photos to brian at inlawfilms.com on Friday night, but alas it seems as if my email was sent in vain. I also posted a link on the FEARums earlier, but once again, to my dismay, ’twas ignored.

So, the link you’ve all been waiting for provides a small sampling of the better photos of the lot… all of them scaled to 1/3 their original size (I wub 8 megapixels) and untouched in Photoshop (Mellperr’s socks, for example, will be photoshopped to restore their original sheen). I apologize for not putting together some whiz-bang (my word of the day) page to show them all off on, but if someone wishes to do so they’re welcome to and I’ll throw it up in that directory for everyone to see (I can create smaller pictures if need be too, so that the full gamut of images doesn’t have to be loaded every time they view the page).
