I don’t know what I think of this. Just like Star Wars TV, the future is uncertain.
I remember watching PowerPuff Girls:The Movie in the theaters….um, don’t ask. But how it relates to this situation : it seemed like a really long episode. It was well-done for what it was, but it was long.
I think we are at the end of the longest running sitcom.

I’m a bit wary of a Simpsons movie, as well. I think Futurama would be better suited to a full movie.
Yeah. Futurama is set up with actual plots. The Simpsons is more of a free-for-all 25 mins. The whole fun is how the subplots merge; how the first 10 mins plot has changed from the second 10 mins plot.
We shall see. I bet it involves Burns trying some greedy scheme.
And Bumble Bee Man will show up randomly.
