Freedom, explosions, and a car alarm

These things and more you can relive with us here at our Fourth of July Re-enactment Site.
We were sitting outside of the stadium, so we could not hear Proud to be an American, but we were next to the actual launching field. When the dust storm hit, it made it even more visceral. I’ve titled that photo “run”.
So, here come the links:

Paralyzed by loud explosions (makes sense)

These all require you to have a flash plug-in, which you can find here.

The flickr site and the YouTube site are not monitored by me, so be careful where you click. (My reguar readers will say, “Well, yeah”, but I’m sending this link to family, as well. Thus the “Cutesy” category label.) For a cool thing, view the YouTube videos in full-screen (the button is in the bottom right-hand corner of the player window and has two overlapping squares).

  1. those videos are nice and all… but something’s wrong with the audio track. the BOOMs don’t sync with the explosions.

  2. Doppler, my friend. Listen to my wife. She’s in sync. “Well, the part that I think OH WOW! Did you see that?!?”

The thunder was pretty fun, too.
