With Moral Kombat I have now been inspired to do my civic duty and review…stuff.
My brother bought Madden for the PS3 thinking that it would be just as fun as the PS2 one, just with better graphics.
It does have better graphics, which I know that you know how to find. This is not a game that I thought required much research before purchasing.These are reasons why you would want to buy Madden 07 for PS3, with the knowledge that I now have:
- You don’t play well co-operatively with others. Your competitiveness has gotten the best of you and you only want to grind someone else into the ground, not have them on your team. The game is for you – they removed all co-operative elements of the game.
- You thought that being an owner or having your own created team (elements found in almost every popular sports title right now) has sullied the purity of the genre and you only want models of real people.
- In your quest for realism, you scoff at adjusting attribute adjusting sliders to determine stats for your created players. Instead, you would much rather have mini-games of windsprints, bench-pressing, and running drills. To add to the intensity, you don’t want to be able to retry for different stats.
- It’s cool having a quarterback with a strength of 8 out of 100. Who wants a player with comparable stats to everyone in the league? It adds intrigue and “under-doggedness” to the match when you strain your arm completing a 10-yard pass.
- Amidst all of the realism, you really want the players to bounce up and down rapidly and be really shiny.
My brother and I beat Resistance last night. Long live Nathan Hale! And you need to watch the credits all the way to the end.
While I’m fulfilling my moral duty, I think that I should warn you about pirates.
Off the coast of Roatan, Honduras there are a tiny set of mini-islands called the Las Islas Misquitos. When I was in Roatan, a guy warned me of pirates (mysteriously, no less). I was thinking “How fun! With their ‘Yo hos’ and their ‘Yar hars’.” And then he explained how his brother was shot with a machine gun from a speedboat by pirates.
Pirates are not always cool.
