So I thought that with our new processors and all that, I’d be able to post pi to one million decimal places on my bloggh. It takes a while to load. In Microsoft Word, it is 499.5 pages with 12-point Times New Roman font. It takes me 1:26.12 (one minute, twenty-six seconds) to scroll to the end of it. As a simple .txt file, it takes up 1,111,102 bytes on my computer (1.1 MB). That’s a big text file (as text files go) that I don’t want to be Internet connection biased towards. (Translation: It might slow down the loading of my bloggh for people.)
I uploaded it as the text file.
If you are ready, bask in all that is…
Now that you have unleashed the power of the universe, here are 9 cool things to do with pi.
You can use the search function of your browser to find out:
9. The sequence “12345″ shows up 8 times.
8. My birthday shows up 3 times.
7. My wife’s shows up 4 times.
6. “012345″ shows up twice, and both are followed by a 5.
5. The last 4 digits of my home phone show up 55 times.
4. My employee ID for the school district shows up once.
3. THX-1138 (8491138) shows up once.

2. TK-421 shows up 5 times. I’m not making any assumptions, but the designer of the Universe might be a Star Wars fan. (That’s just a theory, but the evidence! Come on!)
And the number one reason why to have this information?
1. To be really accurate with your circle calculations!
Circumference this!
