One small step for colorblind people, one small stumble for bad spellers

Groovin’ Blocks, a game where you get bonus points for dropping colored squares to the rhythm of the music, has a feature surprisingly left out of most puzzle games.

Colorblind Mode

It turns the colored squares into different shapes.

IGN was looking for editors a while back. It looks like spellcheck took a vacation in the interim.

Wii Music? Not too exciting, but it will end up being genius. Bad spelling and an Internet meme? Like PB and J.

  1. As a music teacher and mother of small children, I am appalled! Could they not find ANYTHING with a child’s alphabet on it? My daughter learned that X is for ‘xylophone’ before she knew her own name!

  2. Umm, I wouldn’t boast about kids knowing words that start with “x” before learning their names. They are often the ones who are socially inept.

Timmy: “Hi, my name is Timmy. I’m four years old. What’s you’re name?

    Little Taciturna: “Xylophone!”

As a colorblind person, I would like to thank Wii for looking out for my people. Now I can give up playing Bubble Breaker in greyscale and move on to Groovin’ Blocks. Thank you Jesus!
