I was off on the Noah Bennet shooting Nathan Petrelli, but our commentors got it right. (We’re still number one for the “Who shot Nathan Petrelli?” and “Who killed Nathan Petrelli?” in Google. Woot!)
Let’s look at our predictions:
- Elle a hero? She’s now being fired from Primatech after her dad’s murder and took on Sylar
- Love for Mohinder? Awkward! He now makes me uncomfortable. I hope that the girl who causes death through oil-eyes and the guy who’s falling apart are happy together. Yes, Devin, he will have blue fur. Or become Dr. Manhattan-esque as pure energy. Well, he’s already naked enough. Hopefully he keeps his Expositional Monologue +2 power bonuses.
- Return of the Haitian? (George Lucas’ other venture) Linderman came back. Why not? But only at deus ex machina appropriate times.
- Sylar (much to all of our lament) will probably not die Yeah, now that he’s got whatever Claire’s got, they even mention that they’re not able to die. Unless another Highlander confronts them.
- West is Nathan’s Son? Who isn’t? And can Nikki freeze people?
- Claire’s really Adam’s daughter, not Nathan’s? I was very glad to see that the vision of the future included Adam. And character death of a Vector Prime magnitude.
- Micah and Molly become love interests?
- Micah trained by WiFi?
- To add my own: Super-fast girl will be Hiro’s archnemesis. That’s a given. I’ve thought a lot about speedsters with Stutter. I love how the papers fluttered to the ground, although I think she needs to leave traces of friction fire behind her. I do dig the bouncing soundwaves/threads, though.
With regards to the viewer-created Heroes – The female is the same as Hiro. Santiago, on the other hand, has some potential with his predicting possible outcomes. Finally we can see a director do a good job with something like Paul Atreides of Muad’dib fame.
I would love to see a picture of Darth Ando (or even an Ando Calrissian) fighting a Star Wars Boy Hiro (complete with broomsticks).
Another fun highlight was the commercial for Bedtime Stories. Directed by Adam Shankman of Step up 2 the Streets 2? Hairspray? So You Think You Can Dance?

My predictions are as follows:
1. I will have the urge to dropkick Mohinder every episode. He’s creepy now. He used to be cute. Along the lines of Mohinder – I think he is shedding or something… either it’s like an exoskeleton (he sheds it and gets bigger and creepier) or his power will peal off. Which could be. I just don’t like him anymore.
2. From watching the “Countdown to Heroes” with the “Exclusive clips from the upcoming season” I saw a clip where Mama Petrelli pulls out Sylar’s tube and introduces him to this girl who can touch people and see everywhere they’ve been or something? And he’s like, “What is she going to help me with?” and Petrelli’s like, “She’s going to feed you”. SOOO basically I guess maybe she’ll use Sylar to help find the real Peter? Or something of the sort?
3. Claire will continue to be a drama queen.
4. Nikki/Jessica/Tracey? will have another complex/meltdown after figuring out she has multiple personalities. I think there will be more personalities emerging too.
5. The really cool painter guy who picks up Parkman (love the tortoise… although they said turtle… I think it was a tortoise according to my animal knowledge, maybe I’m wrong… never been to Africa…) will be an awesome character. Marking the times where things aren’t as they should be with his exploding world painting. Maybe he’ll be a guide to everything.
Questions:
Did Nathan’s wife get cut from the show?
Is Micah still with the girl who can imitate people?
I really like the whole idea of Peter being stuck in a villain’s body. Does he still have his absorbing powers? Will he absorb the villain’s powers? Will he have to learn to use the “sound control” power of the guy who’s body he is stuck in?
We’re in for a creepy and overly complex season. They just have to turn everything upside down!
2. I was bleched after watching the Mama Petrelli “feeding” part. It makes more sense now with trying to locate Peter
5. Yes, it’s a tortoise. Which, did anyone else see some Rafiki similarities with that painter guy? I dig him. Parkman and Hiro are my favorites, but that whole “things aren’t right” paintings are cool.

Thus the exoskeleton-ish stuff and the climbing up the wall. And the creepiness.
There was some discussion over here wondering if Captain Narrative’s new super-powers also include some sort of pheromone-like abilities. I mean, Maya seemed to jump pretty quickly from an angry “You did what?” to a not-so-angry “Oh, Mohinder!”
