MacBook Pro Monitor Fix

How fitting that on a day with huge Apple announcements, my uncle has a great MacBook monitor fix:

Update: So, Apple uses lasers now to cut MacBooks out of solid titanium. The new MacBooks will also have nVidia 3D cards in them (Slade, you buyin’?) and the trackpad will now be like an amped iPhone. Glass monitors, though? I like my plastic. Perhaps I should hang out with more iPhones.

  2. As far as I know, the current MacBook displays have glass in them, which is why they can crack. From what I’ve understood from other things I’ve read, most laptop screens incorporate a pane of glass simply due to its characteristics that lend itself really well to displays… whether they have a matte or glossy finish. So, the “glass” display is simply just separating that pane of glass from the display itself, which should cut replacement costs as well (if you crack the glass, you don’t have to replace the screen, for example).

The new trackpad is sweet, have you seen how the entire thing actually physically “clicks”. Basically, from what I read, if you use the button on a current Mac laptop, you won’t notice any difference. Seems pretty sweet to me.
