Your Favorite Crichton Work

In honor/memory of Michael Crichton, who died from cancer yesterday, I ask a question:

What is your favorite Michael Crichton work? (I opened it to that in case you wanted movie/TV show/political critique/cookbook)

Secondary question:
Did anyone else know that he was 6’9″? I found that out today. That ROCKS!

Update: Did you know that he was working on Jurassic Park 4 and a re-make of Westworld?

  • Jurassic Park, without a question. Notable for being one of the first movies where I, at the age of 13, complained that I liked the book better.

  • Booyor

I remember reading the “Jeep stuck in a tree” section of Jurassic Park one morning in junior high and getting nauseous. Now that’s a book.

I’ll also add to the table Rising Sun. It was the first to get me to ask, “Is that Photoshopped?” Think about how that’s a part of culture right now, but not so much back then. (More “That’s a flying pie tin and not a UFO” camera tricks; not so much digital tomfoolery.)
