Not quite as awesome as Unleashed Pastries, but still cool. (I would say this is more Tech Nerd Slightly Volatile in power level.)
Check out using a Wiimote as a Bluetooth device to control your computer. Now if any of us actually ran Ubuntu…
The more curious thought appears in one of the comments:
Mr Bob Said,
January 17, 2009 @ 11:13 amSo it seems to me you could put a wii controller in a model airplane running ubuntu an use the x, y, z pitch roll and accelerometer to basically have a less than $100 autopilot.
Seem possible to anyone else?

You don’t have to be running Ubuntu: http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2008/02/use-your-wii-remote-on-your-mac.html
A Mac? No one uses those! They’re just a myth.
Can you imagine if I busted out with a Wiimote at the next staff meeting to advance my PowerPoint? I’m already the geekiest guy on campus with an administrator nickname of MacGuyver. Do you think I could just go by Q? (In all senses of characters named Q.)
Devin, a clarification: Mike’s MAC addresses are a myth. He just pretends he has wi-fi and sends out a fake signal to our laptops. He builds us up and then knocks us down. And probably throws in a fireman’s carry or cross-face hoomijinger along the way.
