Rude Rotterdam Routes

Have you heard about the new ad campaign in Rotterdam? While you’re sitting in a seat on the bus at the bus stop, what you don’t realize is that an advertisement above you is displaying your weight for everyone else to read. They’ve placed a scale in your seat.

Wow, Fitness First. Way to kill the use of clean, public transportation. Mental note: avoid the Netherlands.

  • It’s actually at the bus stops, but I thought it was quite amusing. Then again, I wouldn’t be embarrassed by it, so I guess I’m not the ideal client. Or maybe I am?

  • I don’t think I’d be too embarrassed; it would depend upon the mood I was in that day. Unless people started laughing and pointing.

The reason I would steer clear? Angry middle-aged women. Soccer moms with already low self-worth now enraged by technological mockery.

  • I wonder how mad they’ll be when somebody with my mentallity sits and leaves 3 pounds on it.
