I hope Vega enjoys tonight’s programming.

By Vega I mean the star system and not the Super NES system star.

Thanks go to Devin for his cartographic curiosities.

Another Super NES star showed up today. Check out the Virtual Console for Super Star Wars today. I already have the original, but I’m glad to see that it will be preserved for a couple more years. This is probably one of the toughest games I have ever played.

So many dead womprats… I just never got how when you killed one large scorpion it turned into two small scorpions.

Rumor has it that the Check Mii Out channel will have Star Wars characters this week. I expect that Everybody Votes will finally let us figure out if Han shot first.

Which he did, you know.

You may have seen Bono’s challenging interview with Bill Hybels a while back.

I don’t know if you’ve seen the response:

In no way do I recommend living to make sure Bono is happy with us, but it is encouraging when I see people take action.

This is part of why I dig Aradhna. Their music is so different and refreshing – they also support Freedom Firm. It helped that I had recently read Sold right around the time that I hung out with the band. (And who wouldn’t want to hang out with a band in someone’s house? Coolest concert ever.)

I’m a fan of conspiracies

My wife told my youngest daughter, playing with a stuffed animal simian, to give the monkey a big kiss.

My youngest walked over to me and asked me to lean over so she could kiss my cheek.

I sense a conspiracy of Majestic-12 proportions between the girls in my family.

For my readers who don’t wear tin foil caps, here’s Majestic-12:

They very well may be responsible for the Twitter outage.

And I thought just plain SPAM was rude

I’m tweaking the comments part of the bloggh. Hopefully you don’t get censored unintentionally.

You gotta love how gutsy SPAM comments are getting:

Looks like your question thing at the end of the post worked. Also not having to sign in is nice too. Good job. Nice list. Thanks.

Thank you, dvtpde@yahoo.com. I really appreciate your smarmy comments.

It is through your inventive advertising that we will be interested in WoW gold farms and should in no way let grandparents comment on photos.

Tin Cup Gypsy – Wildfire

A friend of mine from NAU has a great band called Tin Cup Gypsy. Check out their song “Wildfire” here (and perhaps vote a thumbs up). They’re doing great and have done some really cool concerts, like with Sara Evans. (And I remember when the lead singer/violinist was just a tiny little freshman in Cowden…)

Check out their Facebook page here and their homepage here.

This cover is just plain crazy:

Theme Songs for Tonight

Yes, friends, for those that have me on device updates for Twitter, prepare for the deluge - for it is Star Wars night!

Here are two themes that I think we should use. Whether you are stopping a bioweapon from wiping out entire chunks of the galaxy or you’re Slade meeting a girl on a date, think this:

What would Scott Howard and Danny Larusso do?

I just picture trying to roll 20s while this song plays in my head, much like when I cheered on Slade to beat Mr. Dream on the NES.

“Master! Jacen Solo has a vial of Alpha Red!”
“Sweep the leg.”

Temple Warning

NO FOREIGNER
IS TO GO BEYOND THE BALUSTRADE
AND THE PLAZA OF THE TEMPLE ZONE
WHOEVER IS CAUGHT DOING SO
WILL HAVE HIMSELF TO BLAME
FOR HIS DEATH
WHICH WILL FOLLOW

Yeah, that would make me feel totally awesome. Oh, wait. I mean horrible. I’m reading (and hanging out in) Ephesians and when Paul writes to the Ephesians:

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

I’m guessing that may have been tough to accept for some. It’s brought to the forefront in Acts 21:27- Acts 22:29 when Paul defends himself for associating with Greeks. The crowd goes wild (in a non-Sports Night sort of way) and we now know why, in context with the warning sign.

In fact, I’m sure that hearing that Christ broke down the walls separating the groups would be tough. Think about how many things in Christian culture are non-essentials but that we hold onto for dear life (not realizing life that’s been given to us). I know none of us would label it as a wall of hostility, but that’s easy to say on the other side of the wall.

The site Stuff Christians Like (and I would get mad if anyone said all Christians were white people) points out some parts of Christian culture that we could do away with. Most make me crack up, many describe me, and some I facepalm.

People who were at my wedding, did you see the scorecard? How did we do?
