Have you seen 419eater.com? It’s almost as addicting as TV Tropes. It’s a collection of Internet rebels who reply to spammers and waste their time.
Check out this one from the Church of Diamonds. In order for Pastor Godfrey O’ Dette (the rebels use names that sound like Bart Simpson calling Moe’s Tavern) to donate to the scammer, the recipient of the money had to prove that he had been initiated into the Church of Diamonds. Not only did he waste the scammer’s time (and draw focus away from people who might actually fall for the scam) but he made the guy send an awesome photo:
