We’re visiting a friendly city:

The fireworks were Friday night. Cruise-In was Saturday night. Today is the 4th of July. I think a picnic may be in order. To satisfy your curiosity until then, here are the photos from The World’s Largest Car Parade in Utah.
To set the mood, you could listen to “Ain’t that America/Little Pink Houses“. That’s the song that played through my head the whole time.
If that doesn’t work, you could watch Alex Wong’s amazing dance number from SYTYCD.
Little known fact: the Declaration of Independence was also signed by a guy in a gorilla suit:

Photos taken from the Walgreens parking lot. Be about it!

Yes, you did see a Tonka truck. There was also a Delorean – if you remember another 4th of July parade we saw, it makes sense. Can’t have Independence Day without time travel.
I guess Logan used to have a Delorean parts factory.
This video of the Cruise-in parade should bring you right into the thick of the action:
I didn’t get a photo of the motorcycle gang that carried a giant Confederate flag. I think they wanted their militia bear (complete with a Civil War hat and rifle) to be cute, but I was a little disturbed.
I’ve noticed there are some mergings between church and state here:

My daughter was wondering what people were pointing at:

By the looks of their faces, my guess is bear:

And this random photo is for Devin:

Is this the place?
Semi-related posts:
That is indeed the place. One of the first places we had dinner when we moved up there, always a favorite. Now if you’ll just go to Bear Lake, my vacation-by-proxy will be complete.
I’m happy you got a picture of the guy on the bike, too. When the weather is nice, he rides up and down Main Street all the time honking and waving at people. It’s one of those strange small town things, I think.
Also, I don’t think you should be disturbed by that motorcycle gang. They’re just exercising their constitutional right to arm bears.
The bicyclist reminded me of Flagstaff.
And arming bears? Awesome.
