Today is youtube’s lifeinaday.
It’s a film that’s going to be directed and edited by Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald. It’s actually going to be a major release and the big catch is that the online community is supplying the footage. You’re supposed to film what you’re doing today and then answer their questions.
The questions:
- What do you love?
- What do you fear?
- What makes you laugh?
- What’s in your pocket? Is there a story behind any of the objects?
I am so filming Star Wars night from the MacBook.
I set up a CoverIt Live event as an experiment. If we have Internet, I’ll post some updates. Even if we don’t have a wi-fi signal, I set it up to read Twitter updates from people’s Twitter timeline and add it into the conversation. If you want to join the fun, add the hashtag #starwarsnight or #swn to your Twitter update to be added to the timeline.
Oh, the Interwebs. More fun than hitting myself in the head with empty milk jugs.

I’ll donate my digital camera for your use tonight. I could even bring my tripod and you can have a nice stable setup.
Sounds good.
Personal note for Sever Force:
Severe Force (Lightside Force Power)
You can block another Force-user’s access to the Force, hindering their access to the Force, possibly preventing him from spending Force Points and making it difficult for him to use Force powers. Time: Standard action. Target: One Force-using creature with a Dark Side Score of 1 or higher that within 15 squares and within line of sight.
Make a Use the Force check: If your Use the Force check equals or exceeds the target’s Will Defense, the effect (if any) is determined by how much you exceed their Will Defense by. Exceeding increasing category gains all the benefits of categories of lesser results as well.
Below the target’s Will Defense: No effect.
At the target’s Will Defense or 1 to 3 higher: The target only rolls 1 die on any Force Point use regardless of level or special abilities for a number of rounds equal to its Dark Side Score.
Exceeding the target’s Will Defenseby by +4 to 6 or higher: The target receives a penalty to all Force Points rolls equal to its Dark Side score equal for a number of rounds equal to its Dark Side Score.
Exceeding the target’s Will Defenseby by +7 to10 or higher: The target cannot spend Force Points for a number of hours equal to its Dark Side Score..
Exceeding the target’s Will Defenseby by +11 to13 or higher: the target moves -1 step along the condition track the first time it uses a Force power in the same timeframe.
Exceeding the target’s Will Defenseby by +14 to 16 or higher: the target moves -1 step along the condition track each time it uses a Force power in the same timeframe..
Exceeding the target’s Will Defenseby by +17 to 20 or higher: the target is -5 to Use the Force checks on all Powers.
Exceeding the target’s Will Defenseby by +21 to 23 or higher: the target moves -2 steps along the condition track each time it uses a Force power in the same timeframe.
Exceeding the target’s Will Defenseby by +24 or higher: The target is -5 to all Use the Force checks.
Note: This power may target multiple opponents within reach of the power. The skill check is applied to the highest will defense of any person in the targeted grouping. That person’s Will Defense is the base for every target in the attack. The base Will Defense for all targets is then increased by +2 for each additional target in the grouping. The effect is the same for all opponents in the group based on the single check. The character may select which targets in the given are to impact, they may select a group of lower level opponents and exclude the powerful leader if it fits their purpose for the application of the power.
Special: This Force power has no effect on targets with a Dark Side Score of 0.
If the target is a higher level than the person using the Force power they receive a +5 bonus on their will defense for the purpose of determining the effect of this power on them. If the target has ½ the heroic levels or less than the person using this power they receive a -5 to their Will Defense for the purpose of determining the impact of this power on them.
If this power fails on a character of higher level it may not be attempted again for another 24 hours.
You can spend a Force Point to double the duration of the effect, but this must be declared before the result is known. Alternatively, you can spend a Destiny Point to increase the duration to a number of days equal to the target’s Dark Side Score.
Surveying the portion of our viewing audience, I’ve found that women age 45 and older who gave birth to me enjoyed banter and pictures of cute children, while male Canadians age 25 to 35 really don’t like Bothans.
I think both are fair positions.
