Just performing surgery

Nothing to see here. Move along.
I remember the buses in the San Diego Zoo having more leg room.

Dude

Would Rod Serling lie to me?

Yeah, so the Hollywood Hotel got hit by lightning and opened up a temporal vortex, but we already paid for the rooms so we’re good.
Ghost Galaxy

Check out the great tributes here, here, and here.
This is a great video.
This one’s for Slade.

Popoids are weird.
I can’t believe I missed Frodo’s birthday this year.
September 22nd has come and gone. That’s okay, though. Once someone has wielded the Ring of Power, a giftcard to Target just doesn’t seem so impressive. I’ll save it for Bruce Springsteen‘s party later today.
Not as many bantha elephants, but still some cool shirts
Check out Sevenly for shirts that act as both awareness and fundraising.
shirt.woot has the LAUNDRY SMASH shirt. Can you imagine the conversations that would start? Please help Hulk. Every donation counts towards getting him some new pants.
I’ll say!

Spartans should be wary riding over toasters.

I finally watched the new True Grit.
I’ve read the book and loved it. I also really enjoyed the movie, which makes sense based on how closely it follows the book.
Reading the dialogue versus listening to Jeff Bridges, I had missed something key while reading: every single line out of Rooster Cogburn’s mouth sounded like my Grandpa H.
As a reference point

This is what you look like after you’ve just eaten a fly.
It’s probably time to change the filter.

Same brand. Should be the same color. Yep. Time for summer.
I would like to introduce you to the sturdiest swingset ever.

Love, Annoyance

Love – that bird in flight, living out its purpose – much like I feel leaving this district leadership meeting
Annoyance – that’s my flippin’ car on the other side of a locked gate
The VW ad gets Thor’d

Look for Loki, Stark, and Asgard references.
This is not good for the self-esteem.

Christmas Time
It seems like every year that passes Christmas comes faster than ever, seemingly in the blink of an eye. I remember being a kid and thinking about how long the year seemed to drag out waiting in great anticipation for Christmas Eve to come. This is the time Christians all over this world celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we must remember to keep that the focus for the season, not the white-bearded jolly fat guy who has the seemingly flawless ability to land reindeer on millions of rooftops without damaging shingles while at the same time not disturbing the neighborhood dogs.
This time of year conjures memories of my grandparents as well as many other memories of my various family members. I hope that all who read this bloggh have the opportunity to create new memories with the ones they care about.
Over part of these holidays I have the very cool opportunity to head over to California and hit as many of the major theme park attractions as I can with my wife, which is when she’ll get the best chance to laugh at me while I temporarily transform into a 5 year old on these rides….although I think I’ll have to bring the kleenex for “It’s a small world”…that ride gets my wife every time…(not really). It’s going to be very strange going to DisneyLand without Star Tours, but all that means is more time on Indiana Jones and Space Mountain.
Happy Holidays and prayers to your family and friends
