Mike and I went on RA rounds with shinai, knocking on doors with the hilt like we were mercenary ronin. Imagine that today. It was post-Columbine, but 9/11 wasn’t added into the mix yet.

Our first RHD pulled me in to have a disciplinary talk about carrying weapons. I told him to give me a broom and a bottle of Clorox and I would show him deadly force. Come to think of it, I should be on some watch list somewhere.

Yeah, I think from what the guy I talked to said, they’re Nerf-free on his campus, too- mainly used bean bags or rolled up socks.

Things change, I guess. I remember that I used to make Larp weapons in the Cowden lounge and slept with a bamboo sword or two next to my bed when I was in the dorms.

At FLC the term Assassins is banned. The Zombie vs Humans game came about as a result. No nerf guns or any guns at all. Toy guns are also no-nos on campus. Post Columbine (which isn’t that far away from the campus) really had an affect on policy. All faculty and staff have to watch a special training video titled “Active Shooter.”

Good point. I have students that go off on their latest kills in Modern Warfare and I sometimes have to reign them in. Saying that they got a headshot on the kid across the room is probably not the smartest thing to say on campus.

I’m friends with a guy who plays it at Georgia Tech. Last spring, I think, he was the zombie zero, or whatever title they give to the guy who is the source of the infection. Sounds like it was a lot of fun.

I always liked playing Assassin, I wondered how well it was tolerated in a post-Columbine setting.

Your team was consistently good in FF. My problem is I would have an outstanding week and then my opponent would have a SERUM week. It was like that in both leagues. If you want an idea of how bad it was in my other league, I had the 3rd most points to end the season…didn’t make the playoffs.

The proportions on the right hand are definitely off. He’s also way too big for that plane, like the artist decided to use Mario Kart or Snoopy Red Baron pilot to plane ratios.

To me it looks like he’s holding up the “Stop” hand signal, as in don’t open this book. Oh course I’m not a medical professional…..yet.
I also just noticed that his other hand is hidden behind the T but it looks like it’s missing some fingers. Is it weird that my first thought was “He got his hand caught in the propeller, gangrene killed that pilot.”

I voted for Pellaeon, naturally, but I think they should go with C’baoth. They can just package all the regular ones as Jorus, and package all the “slightly defective” models as Joruus, it’s an easy way to put out two new figures for the price of one!
